Volunteer Recognition Day!

Volunteer Recognition Day was set for April 20th as a day to honor the millions of volunteers who dedicate themselves to causes and helping others. Volunteers make a difference in people’s lives all around the world, both big and small. They are improving lives, even saving lives, and providing comfort by helping people and animals and nature. Most volunteers just want to help and “give back” where and when they can. Even though there are millions of volunteers, there is still a huge need for more people to volunteer their time and energy to help groups and causes. The needs are so very broad and urgent that everyone can find someplace to volunteer and make a difference.

To celebrate this Volunteer Recognition Day we can:

  • Thank volunteers for their work
  • Find a place to be involved in a volunteer activity.
  • Give to a volunteer group
  • One last thing, something that volunteers do not share, maybe because it is their big secret! Volunteering and helping others is very energizing, rewarding and tons of fun! So give it a try see! Do you volunteer? If you do, let us know!
