We Care A Lot Foundation has offices in Redding and Chico, with programs serving all 9 counties of Far Northern Regional Center. Positions may be available in Butte, Shasta or Tehama counties. We prefer Applicants to drop off their application in person if at all possible.
The Healthy Living Program gives peer-to-peer instruction to adults with developmental disabilities. Peer Instructors teach how to break down the life changes needed to prevent or manage diabetes into easier and smaller steps. This job is up to 10 hours per week.

Same As You, or SAY, give presentations that help people understand what bullying is. SAY Presenters lead groups in things like games and videos to show how people can stand up to bullying. They also share personal stories about being bullied as someone growing up with a disability.

People First is the only advocacy group for people with developmental disabilities, that is run by people with developmental disabilities. Local chapters are supported by Helpers. We are currently looking for a Helper for the People First of Corning chapter (meeting is in Los Molinos). This job is up to 8 hours per month, with limited travel out of town for conferences.
