T.J.’s Creations

I am passionate about the subjects in my art.

I find a lot of inspiration from my pet reptiles and my exotic plants. I like the different textures such as the curving ribs of a cactus, or the hairy, sticky features of some carnivorous plants. I enjoy trying to recreate these textures in my paintings and ceramics. I also find reptiles and dinosaurs fascinating and such unique and rare species have been depicted throughout my art.

In 2007, I started my own cacti, succulents, and carnivorous plant nursery. I have always been interested in rare and unique plants. Some of the plants that I grow are low maintenance, while others require a little knowledge.

More recently, I have focused on creating “functional artwork” such as ceramic reptile hides and feeding dishes that are popular items I sell at regional reptile shows.  In addition, I also sell paintings, plants and a small assortment of reptiles (Bearded Dragons and Geckos) and snakes at reptile shows. I am currently breeding cockroaches for feeders and pets too!

Please visit me on Facebook, or shop for items on my Etsy store [cockroaches and lizards excluded].
